FFXIV Gets Next Live Letter Date, Updated Benchmark, And Even A New Chair And Pillow Offering
Just a few weeks to go until Dawntrail!
We've only got a few more weeks before the launch of Final Fantasy XIV's Dawntrail expansion, but that doesn't mean there aren't things to be waiting for ahead of that. If you want the final look into the MMORPG's expansion before launch, then mark your calendars for June 14th.
Starting at 4 AM Pacific, the team from Square Enix will broadcast the 82nd Live Letter from the Producer. You can check out the stream on Square's YouTube, NicoNico, or Twitch. The Live Letter is expected to cover the last pre-expansion look we'll get into Patch 7.0 and a few other updates, and the show will be translated live from Japanese to English.
When 7.0 releases, we'll also see the typical removal of past tomestones, so make sure that you trade them into Poetics before then. Two new tomestones will be added in 7.0, although we don't have the names of those new tomestones yet. This same swap applies to Scrips, too.
In other FFXIV news, a new, updated benchmark has finally been released. Dubbed 1.1, the new benchmark addresses the slew of adjustments and improvements promised over the original. If you want to see a more representative benchmark, go give it a run now.
Secretlab is also getting in on the expansion fun with a new PC gaming chair (with customizable job patches) and a line of lumbar pillows. Both are available now and, here in the US, the chair's options start at a price of $534.
