FFXIV Endwalker Officially Launches, Get Your Registration Codes Entered Now, Maintenance Detailed
Order up some food later this week and grab a new emote as well.
We've finally made it! Well...I mean, anyone that didn't pre-order FFXIV's Endwalker expansion and hasn't been fighting with the queues all weekend long has finally made it! Today marks the official launch of the expansion so, let me be the first to welcome you to queue madness 2021!
For those of you that did pre-order and have already been playing, if you did so via the Square Enix store you should have received an email that lets you know your registration code is ready. Log into the Square Enix store and get that code that's under your previous purchases entered onto your FFXIV account via the Mog Station. If you don't enter it by the 10th you won't be able to access Endwalker until you do enter it.
No, that code you previously entered when you made your initial pre-order purchase isn't the game code. That was so you got your early access and initial bonus items...yeah, I know, the system is a bit archaic.
It should be wild today! I mean, Yoship has already given out 7 free days of access due to the server issues...but I have to think that the influx shouldn't be TOO bad, right? If you wanted to play, you've probably already been playing...but maybe there were a few last minute decision makers, we'll see.
In other news, later this week you can take advantage of a FFXIV/Grubhub collaboration and order up some food to score yourself a pizza eating emote in-game! Do so during the Game Awards and you'll even get free delivery but, of course, limitations apply so read up if you want to take part!
Welcome to Endwalker!
That said, there will be some downtimes coming up to address connection issues and if you're wondering why they "don't just add new worlds", then you'll want to take a look at the explanations of the various issues posted on the official site today.
