Fatshark Is Bringing Looter Shooter Warhammer 40K: Darktide To PlayStation 5 Next Month
Pre-orders are already up with a little discount for PS Plus subscribers.
The divine wisdom of the Emperor is on display again as you'll be getting some reinforcements in Warhammer 40K Darktide soon. While the looter shooter is already available on PC and on Xbox, PlayStation has been missing from the formula for a while. That's about to be rectified when Darktide drops, complete with all the improvements and additions already made, on PlayStation 5 on December 3rd.
Pre-orders are already live on the PlayStation Store with bundles starting at $39.99 with a bit of a discount (10%-15% depending on your bundle) if you're a PlayStation Plus subscriber.
We don't have any specifics on PlayStation cross play and cross progression just yet, but we should have some options on this front if we look at how the game works between PC and Xbox already. If you currently play on Steam, you can play with PC and Xbox players, but your progression and purchases are tied to your Steam account. If you play via Xbox Live or Xbox (including Game Pass) then you can play with all platforms and you can enjoy cross progression.
Knowing that, if I had to guess right now, I'd guess that PS5 will be like Steam, yes you can cross play, but no you can't progress. Your account and purchases would be tied to the PS5. Again, that's just a guess at the moment.
Time to deal with hordes of enemies with new friends.
