Fantastic Pixel Castle Hits Its Third Milestone On Ghost, Which Mostly Means There’s Still Work To Do
There was a lot of work on Blue Zones.
September has come to an end and so has Fantastic Pixel Castle’s work to reach Milestone 3 on Ghost’s development. This particular milestone built on the previous one with a focus on Blue Zones. It addressed several goals, including making the zones different every time, making them feel alive, and connecting them to Red Zones in a way that makes sense.
Each of these concerns was addressed in its own way, with the devs even implementing other beneficial features, such as a mini-map that accurately displays Blue Zones when people are in them. The zones are more fleshed out than they were at the end of the second milestone, although it’s worth noting that the team is still using Unreal Marketplace assets. While there’s more to look at, it will all be changing in the future. Of course, the devs took player feedback into account when working toward the completion of the third milestone.
Understandably, this was also a learning process for the developers, who have come to the conclusion that they need to get MMO players into the game and testing it in order to ensure they can deliver what they believe they can deliver.
Information on everything the devs have gleaned while working on Milestone 3 is painstakingly detailed in the latest blog post. The post also includes some game lore for those of you who want to know more about the world.
