Fallout 76 Drops The Biggest Boss In Fallout History In New Dungeon Content Added As Part Of "Gleaming Depths"
And you'll score C.A.M.P. Pets to show off your raiding prowess.
It's always seemed funny to me that Fallout 76 didn't really have any "dungeons" or "raids" in the way we know them in MMORPGs. Sure, I know it's a survival game and it tries to do things a tad differently, and yes, I know there are places to explore in the world that "feel" kind of dungeon-y, but it seemed like a no-brainer to me. Things are going on in secret places in the world of Fallout 76 and why haven't we gone to discover them or even stop them?
That changes today with the release of the free "Gleaming Depths" update. While the team at Bethesda uses the word "raids" in their description, I think you should think of this new content along the lines of a traditional MMO dungeon. 4 players go in, fight some stuff, take on a boss that Bethesda touts as the "biggest yet of any Fallout game", and come out the other side with new loot.
What loot, you ask? Good question. Fallout 76 is introducing a new 4-star legendary bracket for weapons and armor and these will be vital in surviving the encounter with the UItracite Terror. However, and maybe more importantly for many, you can also earn C.A.M.P. pets. You can interact with these pets in your C.A.M.P. and they can even interact with certain pieces of pet furniture. You can snag the Bombay Cat and White German Shepherd in the Scientific Forge Seasons Pass. New titles are also up for grabs.
