F2P Extraction Shooter Vigor, Previously Console-Only, Opens Up PC Early Access On Steam
Early access will come with a price tag but full launch will be F2P.
We've covered Vigor here on MMOBomb for a long time. In all that time, Bohemia Interactive's looter-shooter has been console only. Ducking and weaving in a post-war Norway, building your base, and gathering all the resources you can manage to escape with has been popular enough on consoles that the title is making its way to PC on Steam.
In fact, early access kicks off today.
If you want to jump in now, it'll cost you $19.99 for the Vigor-Reinforcements Pack. When Vigor hits full launch, expected later this year, it will be totally free-to-play. You'll get to keep any items your purchase comes with, but there will be an account reset when full launch comes around.
PC players hitting the servers in early access will actually get to check out something that console players don't have yet: The Weapons Overhaul. This update will come to consoles soon, but the update totally revamps gunplay in Vigor and, hopefully, provides a better player experience.
We've got a reveal trailer below for those that have never seen the game.
