F2P Battle Royale Ashes Of Creation Apocalypse Heads To Early Access Next Week
The apocalypse is almost upon us -- Ashes of Creation Apocalypse, that is. The free-to-play battle royale mode spun off from the Ashes of Creation MMORPG is headed into early access at noon Pacific on Tuesday, Sept. 24, as announced in today's dev blog.
When early access goes live, players can queue up solo, in a duo, or as a four-person squad with servers based in east and west US, Europe, and Singapore, though you can play with friends across servers. You'll need an Intrepid account to play, and you're encouraged to report any bugs you might come across, as well as sharing your feedback on the forums.
As is common with free-to-play battle royales, Ashes of Creation Apocalypse offers a reward track, called an Adventure Path, that all players can progress along by playing. If you're in the mood for spending, you can upgrade that to a Legendary Path or purchase Embers, which you can use to buy cosmetic items. Apocalypse will be available for download from the website and via Steam.
