Eye On Arkesia Preps April's Lost Ark Update Plans And Clarifies "Gold Nerf" Concerns Again
Yes, your gold is fine...for now! MWAHAHAHA!
Just a little over a week ago, we reported on Smilegate's Lost Ark stream and how some western players of the F2P MMORPG were taking some of the news in that presentation. Keeping in mind that the Korean version of Lost Ark is always, at least for now, ahead of the global version, the presentation spoke to a few nerfs coming soon. The one that pulled the most attention at the time was a nerf to gold. Almost immediately, the Amazon Games team communicated that this nerf (and some others) would NOT be coming to the global version of Lost Ark, at least not yet.
As the game's April update approaches, the team is back with another episode of Eye on Arkesia to provide the full update rundown, as usual. However, the team did throw in yet another reminder to players on the gold nerf. Yes, it still isn't coming west. It could in the future, but right now, the global version isn't where the Korean version is, so it isn't an appropriate nerf at this time.
On to other content specifics. April 23rd will see new progression events to help you speed up your journey, more of the highly-anticipated balance updates, and some small changes to the honing and transcendence systems. Storm the Abyss and the Road to Kazeros: Act 3 events will provide materials, boosts, and discounts to help players gear up.
The video also shows off some of the winners of Lost Ark's recent Wildsoul Loading Screen contest, like Nerprice's beautiful piece above. This will also be the last update where French and German localization are supported.
As a reminder, if you missed that fact or the full roadmap reveal, you can check out our coverage on that ahead of the April update.
