Explore The Cyberpunk Dystopia Of Cincinnati In Cyberpunkdreams
In the year 2090, Cincinnati is the greatest border city in a cyberpunk dystopia. It's home to 24 million people crowded together in slums, but it's still the best place to be. This is the setting of Light Night Games' single-player text-based RPG, cyberpunkdreams.
The game, in which players take on the role of a wanderer who is new to the city and becomes entangled in it, launched today on Steam. Cyberpunkdreams is interesting for a free-to-play single-player game in that it promises new content every month, including new stories as well as other types of content. As players work their way through the game, their choices will determine what kind of person their character becomes.
To celebrate the launch of the game, Light Night Games is hosing a launch event and some daily stream activities. Both start today, with the stream taking place on YouTube and Twitch. The devs will be playing the game from the start. The good news is that players shouldn't have to worry about spoilers because the various branches in the game's story should ensure that every story is different. These streams will take place every day at 4pm Eastern through May 19th.
As for the in-game event, throughout the weekend, players will need to locate the Sinzil Crimson X phone in Bordertown. You can only get the phone once, but finding it earlier in game will open up a lot of content that otherwise wouldn't be available. It's also important to note that this is an exclusive event item that will never be available in the game again.
