Explore A Completely New Part Of Middle-earth In The Lord Of The Rings Online’s Legacy Of Morgoth Expansion
It’s time to head to the unexplored lands of Near Harad.
Soon, The Lord of the Rings Online players will get to continue their journey, heading to a completely unexplored area of J.R.R. Tolkien’s Middle-earth. The MMORPG’s latest expansion, Legacy of Morgoth, takes players to Near Harad, a land filled with deserts and canyons. Of course, the journey isn’t just about sightseeing and meeting the locals. (Is it ever?) No, there’s a threat to all of Middle-earth that requires players players to make the journey.
It’s a game of beat-the-clock as you explore the region, solve mysteries, and forge alliances with the people of the land. All of which you’ll do to stop the nightmare known as the Legacy of Morgoth.
The new update will feature over 350 new quests and introduce new creatures, dangers, and rewards. It can purchased in one of three editions, ranging from $40 for the Standard Edition to $130 for the Ultimate Fan Bundle. Yes, that’s a pretty big leap, but based on the details of each edition, it seems Standing Stone Games wasn’t playing around when adding content to the fan bundle.
The expansion is currently targeting a November 6th launch date with the additional raid content coming no later than February 2025, according to a footnote on the special expansion site under the pre-purchase button.
