Experience The Quality-Of-Life Changes Paths Of Glory Brings To Albion Online Today
The game’s new achievement system is available to explore.
Today, Albion Online dropped the Paths of Glory Update. The update has been being teased for a bit now, and the big highlight is the collection of quality-of-life changes. The most touted of these is the game’s new achievement system, the Albion Journal, which provides players with challenges that encourage them to explore the game while rewarding them.
That’s not the only thing players of the MMORPG have to look forward to – despite the devs talking about it a bit more. The update also introduces Dynamic Spawn Rates to the game’s open world and Roads of Avalon, which adjusts the amount of treasure, resources, and mobs that spawn on a server relative to the server’s active population at any given time. Ideally, there will never be too many or too few spawns to accommodate players. Roads of Avalon has received additional love in the form of rebalancing and implementation of Tracking.
Of course, a new update wouldn’t be an update without new items to collect. That would be a new batch of Crystal Weapons earned through the Guild Season. Three new weapons have been added: Twin Slayers, Dreadstorm Monarch, and Exalted Staff. They can be overcharged twice, meaning they’ll be more powerful but at higher risk of breaking.
In addition, Guild Islands now have biomes linked to their host city. Players might want to take this into account when choosing where to set up. And finally, a party ready check is now available.
