Eville Launches Today, Embark On A Brand New Social Deduction Adventure
Time to sink into a village drowning in chaos and deception.
The murder mystery social deduction game, Eville, launches today. Players will take on the role of either a helpful villager trying to unravel the mystery, or a conspirator whose goal is to create chaos by murdering innocent citizens. The game can be won by either capturing and executing the murderer(s) or eliminating all villagers.
This game is a new take on the popular social deduction genre as it is composed entirely in 3rd person with free-roaming capability for increased immersion. Eville is meant to be played online as a casual party game with friends or strangers in groups of 4 to 15 players. Eville features an in-game lobby mechanism that enables strangers to play with one another as well as password-protected lobbies for private sessions, similar to Among Us. The game relies heavily on communication both with text and voice chat as well as actual gameplay using the unique abilities given to each player who plays a unique role.
Eville will be available on Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows, Steam, The Humble Store, VerssusEvil.com, and other PC retailers on October 11. For one week only, a 10% launch discount will be available for Xbox and PC. Eville will also be supported on the Steam Deck from launch. The game will show the support status as “Unknown”, but rest assured that the game is fully playable on Medium to High settings and will be officially verified by Steam soon.
