Everything You Might Have Missed From The Call Of Duty Next Showcase
We’re here to fill you in on all the announcements.
In Activision and Infinity Ward’s recent Call of Duty: Next showcase, a lot was revealed, and we’re here to sum everything up for you.
First, let’s fill you in on the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II beta that goes live today, September 16, for PlayStation players who pre-ordered the game or have access to a pre-release code. Then, two days later on September 18, the beta will be live for all PS4 and PS5 players, and finally on September 24 beta will be live for everyone to enjoy.
Spec-Ops and dolphin dive are back in Modern Warfare II. Spec-Ops, like before, will feature two-player co-op and players will once again be able to swim, mantle, and hang off ledges–only this time–with refined improvement. Larger modes will include AI and if said AI are taken out, the game will inform you that a bot was killed and not a real player.
Warzone 2 is set to launch on November 16 and will be free-to-play just like the first Warzone. The game will launch with a new map called Al Mazrah which will take place in a large desert with big cities to explore. Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare II will both share seasons. Not only that but progression will also be shared between both games. Then, to add some realism to the game, vehicles in Warzone 2 will now run out of gas. Players can also get the advantage by shooting out the vehicle's tires to bring their tyrannical attack to a halt.
This time around, Warzone 2 will be embarking on a more traditional battle royale style as there will now be multiple circles that will slowly converge, forcing players to eventually be in one central area. Matches will also have 120 players in each round with no bots.
There should be lots of fun and excitement to be had with Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare II. Players can look forward to Modern Warfare II’s launch on October 28 and then Warzone 2 on November 16.
