EverQuest 2 Changes Their Mind On Varsoon's Server Expansion Lock And More Music Can Be Streamed
Surprise, surprise! More expansions than originally planned will be coming to the Varsoon progression server.
Here's one for the music fans. EverQuest 2 is releasing Volume 7 of the MMORPG's sometimes iconic music. Over 57 minutes of additional EQ2 music has been added to streaming services including Amazon Music, Apple iTunes, Spotify, and YouTube Music.
This batch of music comes from the Sentinel's Fate expansion which released back in 2010.
In more "in game" news, EQ2's Varsoon progression server is getting an unexpected change. Varsoon was originally planned to receive expansions only up to the game's 7th expansion, Destiny of Velious. That wasn't what players wanted, though, and boy did they make their voice heard on this one.
In response, not only will the team open up expansions beyond Destiny of Velious, but they announced the estimated release dates of multiple expansions and content updates all the way through Tears of Veeshan. They expect that expansion to be added in May 2025.
