Evercore Heroes: Ascension's Demo Now Live As Part Of Steam Next Fest And You Could Win A Shard's Naming Rights
The team isn't waiting until the Next Fest actually starts.
We've still got a few days before Steam Next Fest starts on February 24th. However, Vela Games has decided it would rather not wait and launched a demo for their revamped co-op rogue-like Evercore Heroes: Ascension today. Anyone who would like to give the title a go can do so simply by heading to the game's Steam page. You'll be able to play all the way until the end of Next Fest on March 3rd.
Seeing as the game's made quite a few direction changes over the last year, let's break down exactly what you'll be able to check out. Three heroes, each of a differing class, will be able to be played and you can run them through each of Evercore's game modes. This means you'll have the option to team up with some friends or take on the game's new single-player "Hero" mode. You'll also be able to mess around with multiple build types for each character to find your preferred style. Yes, you can play with a controller this time around if you prefer that over a mouse and keyboard.
Hopefully the feedback this time around is better and doesn't lead to the game disappearing for a while.
While you're playing the demo, you may want to check out a content the team is running. You can enter the contest regardless of how you're playing, so feel free to solo it up or run around in teams. Should you complete all of the challenges listed in this post, your name will become the name of a future shard/power-up. Neat!
