EVE Vanguard’s First Strike Playtest Drops Today For Omega Players
Those with Founders' Access can try a new mining prototype, updated warclone suits, and suppression contracts.
EVE Vanguard’s First Strike playtest launches today at 12:00 (UTC) and runs until March 25.
This event invites Eve Online Omega players (Founders’ Access) to check out a new mining prototype, updated warclone suits, and a feature called suppression contracts. The additions are aimed at deepening tactical gameplay and expanding the dynamics of the battlefield. Once again, CCP Games encourages community feedback for the betterment of the sci-fi sandbox FPS.
The latest build introduces significant changes to resource gathering, with the addition of a new mining laser prototype and the incorporation of minable resources into crafting recipes. Suppression contracts add a new layer by allowing players to choose sides in the ongoing struggle within New Eden. Improvements include combat and reward balancing, server performance enhancements, and various bug fixes addressing issues ranging from deployable shields to interaction mechanics with in-game objects.
Rewards for participation include exclusive SKINs and PLEX for top leaderboard performers. Also, engaging in specific in-game activities like biomass exchange and ore mining can unlock unique rewards, contributing to a longer-term challenge resulting in special rewards later in the year.
