EVE Online's Viridian Expansion Is Now Live, Featuring New Ways To Manage Corporations
Players can enact Corporation Projects and AIR Opportunities, as well as utilize the Herald System.
Greener pastures are ahead for EVE Online.
That’s because CCP Games has launched the free Viridian expansion for the free-to-play, sci-fi spacefaring MMO. This major expansion introduces new features to empower player-driven corporations and enhance their success. For example, players can now manage their corporations more effectively with tools like Corporation Projects and the AIR Opportunities interface. The expansion also allows for personalization of Upwell structures through the Heraldry System, giving corporations a unique identity.
In terms of gameplay, Tech II Lancer Dreadnoughts have been added, offering new strategic options in battles. These ships have disruptive weaponry that can disable certain actions of enemy targets. The expansion also brings visual enhancements to the game, including volumetric cloud designs, improved frigate and marauder lighting, and enhanced missile impact effects. Also, to celebrate the release, players can claim 7 free days of Omega game time, granting them access to premium features.
