Eve Online Updates Make Changes To Damage Caps And Gives More Love To Manufacturing
CCP continues to make changes to the game to make it welcoming to more players.
CCP Games has been making significant changes to its sci-fi MMO Eve Online for a while now. A year ago, they began updates to Industry, a major component of the game, offering players new materials with which to build higher-end ships. The new addition gave the developer the ability to tune manufacturing costs when needed and they’ve been monitoring things ever since. Now, the company is tweaking the build material costs again.
The devs have several goals in mind with this change, mostly focused on reducing manufacturing costs for the various ship types. The ships in question include faction and pirate ships, dreadnaughts, and capital and supercapital ships. The latter two should also see a reduction in logistics requirements.
In additional news, the company recently dropped a new update intended to balance the combat power of weapons found on structures and help better balance structure-related combat in the game. This was the first of a series of updates the devs intend to implement over time.
Today, they provided players with more information on updates to damage caps. The minimum DPS needed to keep a repair timer paused is no longer tied to the damage cap. As a result, the value can now be set independently for each layer of defenses, from hull to shield. In addition, the developers are removing the damage caps on structure shields and giving structures slightly more shield HP.
While making changes to structures, the developers have also decided to make medium structures their own class and remove hull reinforcement. This is mostly due to the fact that having medium and large structures in the same class made it difficult to make proper balance changes. More detailed information on these changes and what they mean for players can be found on the Eve Online forums.

10 years and still using this pretty graphics leverage from the same video of that time 10 years ago. they use this PRETTY Stage to gather funds from free hand outs for a game that now holds a bank of FOUR HUNDRED AND FIFTY MILLION DOLLARS IN CROWD FUNDing still counting.
STAR CITIZEN is just a pretty stage show with no finalisation in sight, its a pure CON. we need to put a law on it. we all have to be dopey to bought in to this con.
STAR CITIZEN ROBERTS SPACE INDUSTRIES is blatant abuse of player funds.

EVE Online on the other hand made a game back in 21 years ago and had a running game in less than six mths, I was in alpha for six mths back then and we hardly had any errors at all and none when it released they just kept adding to it to make it greater they at least finished it for its launch way back then.
Which shows how truly SHAMEFUL STAR CIITIZEN is..
