EVE Online Drops Clear Vision Update
Here's a little bit of EVE Online news. Yes, yes... We know. It's not fully free-to-play but CCP is still busy celebrating the game's 17th anniversary, so why not?
As part of the ongoing celebration -- and partially because it's a thing you just kinda do when you run an MMO -- CCP dropped the Clear Vision Update today. The update introduces Phase 2 of the Jita IV Station's (the largest trade hub in New Eden) construction. Thirty percent of the main station has been completed as of this point, while 50% of the Mining Center is done and the Comms/Science station is complete.
Other features of the new update are the improvement of the game's visuals -- including enhancements to in-game travel and visual effects. To celebrate these visual changes, the company, in partnership with AMD because the update also adds AMD FidelityFX toolkit integration, is holding a screenshot competition. Players who are able to perfectly capture New Eden have a chance to win a selection of prizes ranging from PLEX to EVE Gear Store items, and an AMD 5700 XT Graphics card. Rules for the competition will soon be available on the EVE Online site.
