European Football Coach On Fortnite: Players "Stay Up All Night Playing That ****"
It's been a while since we've checked in on what the "adults" think about Fortnite -- oh wait, no, it's been less than a month since someone called it "blasphemous." At least today's news only seems to irritate someone with control over a sports team, rather than a nation's worth of religious adherents.
José Mourinho, the manager of Italian football club A.S. Roma, recently did a "rapid-fire" interview session on the club's Twitter account, revealing what he thought about a number of topics. These included Instagram, his favorite Italian foods, and his favorite music, which falls in the Bryan Adams/Bruce Springsteen mold, making me feel very old in the process.
At the 30-second mark, he gives his views on Fortnite and they're, uh, not positive.

In case you don't feel like watching the video, Mourinho called Fortnite "A nightmare. Football players, they stay up all night playing that [expletive], and the next day they have a game!"
That sounds a lot like what we heard from the coach of another sports team back in 2018, so it's nice(?) to see the lads still irritating their elders by playing games before playing their other games. On the other hand, it's 2021 now and we don't seem to hear these same kinds of stories regarding people staying up all night to play Apex Legends or Call of Duty: Warzone. If I had to guess, I'd say it's probably because those games seem more "adult," with their realistic-looking characters, so they seem more "manly" and less open to criticism from sports coaches than a game where you can play as a banana.
