Etlok Studios Delays Into The Echo Pre-Alpha As Team Members Evacuate Ukraine
Several remote workers are located in the country.
Gamers waiting to help out in Into The Echo’s pre-alpha testing are going to have to wait a while longer. Yesterday, developer Etlok announced they would be delaying the test for a second time – this time as a result of several of the company’s remote team members being forced to flee their home in Ukraine to escape the war.
The announcement was posted on Twitter. It was then expanded on in the company’s Discord channel, where they stated that “due to the conflict in Ukraine, members of [their] staff have been forced to evacuate”. They went on to say that the decision to delay the pre-alpha as a result of this was a “hard” one and they “understand it’s unfortunate timing” but as a result of the current situation, they can’t deliver the experience they want right now.
Due to some unforeseen circumstances surrounding the war in Ukraine, we've opted to move the pre-alpha to April 2-3.
The safety of our staff comes first so we appreciate your understanding💛🇺🇦

The good news is that the new testing dates are not that far off: April 2-3. And, between now and then, 500 more keys will be released for the test. Of course, hopefully, by that point, Etlok’s Ukraine-based developers will be safely relocated.
