ESO Global Reveal Recap: Spell Crafting Finally Comes To The Elder Scrolls Online Along With The New Story Chapter
Will scribing be everything players have been hoping for with spell crafting?
The new chapter for The Elder Scrolls Online took center stage today during the ESO 2024 Global Reveal. The event was streamed live as fans celebrated the latest new content to make its way into the MMORPG. 10 years in Tamriel is coming up this year, and the team is certainly celebrating that feat. There are special 10th-anniversary rewards you can earn in-game planned for the year, and some of them you can earn now.
The next chapter of The Elder Scrolls Online is called "Gold Road". The team showed off a shiny new cinematic trailer for the chapter update.
The new zone will be on the Western border of Cyrodill, a zone the players of The Elder Scrolls Online 4: Oblivion will be familiar with. There will of course be new delves, dungeons, and trials to participate in.
The Elder Scrolls Online is introducing a whole new Daedric Prince, Ithelia. No one knows why this forgotten Prince has returned, or how a Daedric Prince can be forgotten. We'll find out in the Gold Road chapter of ESO.
A dream of many Elder Scrolls Online players has finally come true. Scribing, a form of spell crafting, is coming to the game. Players can customize their character builds by unlocking special skills that can be customized. Players can change the effects and how these abilities interact with the world. There will be a new ability for every weapon and skill line called a Grimoire. Each Grimoire has a base ability it will always have. Each of these Grimoire skills will have three script slots where you can add effects to it. Scripts and skill combinations will be revealed in the future.
The Elder Scrolls Online: Gold Road comes to PC on June 3rd and console on June 18th.

The final trailer is available now.
I have mixed emotions about this new direction.
Even as a casual Warframe player myself, I'd totally sit and watch a full series.
The Xbox version is still outstanding, though.
