Escape From Tarkov Patch 0.14 Is Here, Featuring Several Huge Improvements And A New Map For Beginners
This is one of the biggest updates to the game ever.
Escape From Tarkov has rolled out Patch 0.14, bringing a slew of significant additions and overhauls to the multiplayer, tactical, first-person shooter.
The standout feature is the introduction of a new map called Ground Zero, exclusively available to players under level 20 to provide a safer environment for newer players. It is situated in the city center of Tarkov, boasting multiple highrise buildings. Also, the Streets of Tarkov map sees the addition of a new boss — Kollontay, who patrols key areas and poses a threat with his guards. There’s the inclusion of the BTR-82A vehicle for safer navigation and storage during raids.
This patch features an overhaul of existing systems as well, including a revamped movement system that now incorporates vaulting. The recoil system has undergone changes. Additionally, the armor system has been completely reworked, introducing hitbox adjustments and the ability to customize armor with 37 new ballistic plates for targeted protection rather than full midsection coverage.
Moreover, players can explore a reworked Shoreline map with a new cattle farm area, encounter new weapons, guards for boss Kaban, and an achievement system that persists across wipes.
