Eight-episode Anime DOTA: Dragon's Blood Now Streaming On Netflix
The DotA anime series that we were told would be showing up on Netflix in March has -- surprise! -- shown up on Netflix in March. Here's the description from the press release:
DOTA: Dragon's Blood tells the story of Davion, a renowned Dragon Knight devoted to wiping the scourge from the face of the world. Following encounters with a powerful, ancient eldwurm as well as the noble Princess Mirana on a secret mission of her own, Davion becomes embroiled in events much larger than he could have ever imagined.
The eight-episode series' visuals are provided by Studio MIR, of The Legend of Korra and Voltron: Legendary Defender fame, while composer Dino Meneghin (MTV's Teen Wolf, Lore) provides "a different kind of score more akin to Tangerine Dream or the old Heavy Metal cartoons." Meneghin said that the creators of the show "were collaborative, open-minded, and willing to take chances with the score." Ashley Edward Miller (X-Men: First Class, Thor, Black Sails) is the series' showrunner and executive producer.
