Releasing in Korea last year, Echo of Soul is a free-to-play MMORPG that is probably most well known for its unique soul collection system for skill customization. Developed by some of team that worked on Lineage 2, Echo of Soul has had a bit of a following in Europe and the West already through the use of some translation tools.

Soon those tools won't be needed anymore as Aeria Games officially announced that Echo of Soul will have a European and American release in the spring of 2015.

"Since its launch in Korea last year, Echo of Soul has been one of the top MMORPGs, with gamers praising its rich gameplay and incredible content," said June Sung Kim, CEO of Nvius Corporation, the developers of EOS. "We are excited to be able to bring this vast world and its unique Soul system to Western players next year with the launch in North America, Germany, and France."

I've watched the trailer above a few times now and while I think the fidelity of the graphics may be a touch dated, I do rather like the art style. That, and if the music of the trailer is any indication of the music in game I think I'll be searching for an original soundtrack purchase shortly. My only concern, of course, is Aeria being the publisher as I sometimes find their monetization to be a bit skewed. I guess we'll have to see how it goes.

If you want to be one of the first to "Defeat the Dark and Summon the Light" head on over and sign up for closed beta.

pff, this is so outdated....I mean of course some bigger games like Aion and WoW are great even if they have targeting system. But the point and click is sooo old kind of game mechanic that its makes the game uninteresting....and the animations are horrible....its 2014 not 2004.

What would I like to know is what kind of combat style is it? ... Action combat (like tera/vindictus etc) or old tab target like WoW/GW2/AA. Actualy if its not some form of action combat I'm not interested much in it since I expect for a 2014 mmo to be up-to-date with its features.
