Echo of Soul Class Reveal
Aeria Games' upcoming beta/release of Echo of Soul is quickly approaching. Today we get a sneak peek at the 5 classes that will be available in the free-to-play MMORPG upon launch here in the west. The video above only details the Rogue class, so expect more videos to be released soon detailing each of the other classes.
In predictable MMORPG fashion, the five classes are Warrior, Archer, Rogue, Guardian, and Sorceress. Think of the Guardian as a supporting class and the Sorceress as a mage and you've got the picture. With no dedicated healer class, Echo of Soul will require teams to work together and keep themselves alive as much as possible.
Each of the five classes also has 2 distinct specializations that give players the ability to tailor their class to their particular play style. Like nuking things from afar? Specialize as a Firemage Sorceress then. An Archer specializing in the Bard skills can provide support to their party and debuff enemies.
"Allowing players to customize their class and play how they like is a critical component that sets Echo of Soul apart in the MMO genre," says Alex Billaud, Associate Producer. "Gamers will be able to adapt their character to the playstyle they like best, and each party will need to strategically balance these specializations to fill the 'traditional' MMO healer role - something unique to Echo of Soul."
You can sign up for the Echo of Soul beta on the newly revamped website.
