EA’s Apex Legends Surpasses $2 Billion Milestone And Holds High Hopes For Apex Legends Mobile
While some companies are dealing with lawsuit after lawsuit, EA seems to be flourishing.
Electronic Arts has delivered impressive and profitable growth in FY22, so much so that it was a record year in total players, engagement in their games and live services, net bookings, and underlying profit. For example, Apex Legends is up over 40% for the year, taking it past the $2 billion milestone in lifetime net bookings.
In addition, Apex Legends’ Season 12 finished two days ago and was the most successful season ever. On top of that, Apex Legends Mobile, while still in development, is performing well in tests and is close to launch.
EA is expecting strong growth from their mobile business (which passed the billion-dollar milestone this year, with nearly $1.2 billion in net bookings). That, coupled with EA’s strong engagement across their live services and great early indicators for mobile launches, means the next year might prove to be even more profitable for EA after the anticipated launch of Apex Legends Mobile which is said to release on May 17.
Continuing with mobile, EA’s Battlefield Mobile is said to go into further testing at the end of May and a global launch could happen as early as next year.
