E3 2023 Is Back, But The In-Person Events Will Have Separate "Business" And "Gamer" Schedules
This separation of the 4 days is already in addition to the separation of live and streamed events.
It's official, E3 will be back for 2023 and it will have a mix of streamed and in-person live events spread out over the four-day expo starting on June 13th and ending on the 16th. The event will be returning to the Los Angeles Convention Center and multiple digital showcases will take place prior to the event itself. You'll be able to catch these additional reveals starting on June 11th.
In addition to the separation of streamed and live events, this E3 will also come with an additional separation of events by date. You see, when the event kicks off on June 13th, it will be for industry professionals only (media, devs, publishers, etc.), harkening back to the original days of E3 being an industry showcase rather than a publicly attended one.
The "Gamer Days" will allow the general public into the event, but these don't start until the 15th...so basically the final two days of the show can be attended by the general gaming public. These "Gamer Days" will still feature a massive display hall and presentations of their own in the convention's theater but will take place in separate halls.
Registration for the industry portion of the event are planned to start in December and E3 is being operated by ReedPop, the group behind events such as PAX, EGX, New York Comic-Con, Star Wars Celebration, and more.
