Dungeons & Dragons Online To Celebrate The IP’s 50th Anniversary In A Big Way All Year Long
That’s one way to celebrate the Year of the Dragon.
As Dungeons & Dragons Online gets ready to celebrate another anniversary, it turns out there’s even more to celebrate. This year – which happens to be the Lunar Year of the Dragon – is also the 50th anniversary of the whole Dungeons & Dragons IP. That’s right. For fifty years, some of the most creative people you know have been gathering around tables and having the most exciting, silly, (and kinky) adventures.
With this in mind, DDO Producer Amanda Grow announced that beginning in February, players will be able to celebrate in the MMORPG all year long. They’ll be given free gifts each month throughout the Year of the Dragon. Details on what these items are will be revealed on February 7, although we did get a bit of a hint on one of them. The first goodie will arrive on DDO’s 18th anniversary on February 28 and will be a dragon-themed archetype.
In addition, to help new players join in the fun, a special coupon code is now available. FREEDDO2024. This can be used to get free quest packs.
The Producer letter also offers a look at the year ahead, beginning with the Snowpeaks Festival and ending with Festivult. The full letter can be read on the DDO site.
