Duelyst Testing Boss Battles and Taking Daily Challenges Offline
Over the next few weeks Duelyst players will notice a few changes being tested in the free-to-play card tactics game from Counterplay Games. In fact, if you've played in the last few days, you've likely already seen some of these changes introduced in patch 1.79. Over the next two weeks you can expect a few more Boss Battles to be added for testing. What's a Boss Battle you ask? On the game's menu, you'll now have the option to jump into a Boss Battle. These battles are against special AI opponents with unique decks and predetermined starting board placements. Win and you'll net yourself 1 free Spirit Orb and a Boss Crate. That crate will set you back $4.99 to open (you'll have 48 hours to do so once you receive the crate) and inside you can expect to find a common chest key, a Gauntlet Ticket, 3 Shim'zar Spirit Orbs, and a random legendary card.
If you've been a fan of the game's Challenge Mode but had your own gripes about it, hopefully Counterplay Games comes up with a better option for challenge delivery as they are taking the mode offline to rework it a bit. In the meantime, you'll be able to claim a free common card every 24 hours to compensate for the 5 gold reward the Daily Challenge used to offer.
