Duelyst Announces First Expansion
Today, Counterplay Games announced the first expansion for it's tactical strategy card game, Duelyst. The new expansion is set to introduce 105 cards, including Battle Pet tribal cards. These additional cards will bring the in-game total up to 400.
Titled "Denizens of Shim'zar", the expansion will add new units, spells, and tokens -- as well as the tribal card mentioned earlier. The Battle Pet cards will act separately at the beginning of turns in a way that will allow for them to be manipulated to favor the opponent.
Preorders are now available for the expansion, with those who do so receiving an exclusive card back variant. During pre-orders, Spirit Orbs for the expansion will be available for a discounted price of 50- orbs for $49.99.
In addition to the normal pre-order perks, Counterplay has also announced that 10% of the proceeds going to build the prize pool for the upcoming Duelyst World Championships. Players interested in participating in the championships can find more information on the game's site.
