Dragon-Flying PvP Game Century: Age Of Ashes Will Launch A PvE Event Complete With Leaderboard Prizes
I can't help but think you have a good chance to make the leaderboards even if you've never played before.
Honestly, Century: Age of Ashes may have been one of my favorite niche PvP games released in years. Sure, it has its own little janky moments and it doesn't have the largest of player bases, but flying around on a dragon shooting other dragons out of the sky was enjoyable if not lasting. If you liked the idea but weren't all that keen on the entire game being PvP, you may want to hop on the back of your nearest dragon in April as the game's "Last Bastion" event arrives with a PvE focus.
In The Last Bastion, players team up in groups of 4 to protect the four towers on the Hel's Breach map from invading waves of Dwellers. Earn gold by taking out enemies or completing objectives and spend that gold in between waves to purchase buffs and upgrades. Make it through 10 waves to emerge victorious.
The mode offers 4 different difficulty levels, with higher difficulty levels offering higher points giving you a chance to reach higher levels on the event's leaderboards. Event-specific prizes will be rewarded to those that hit the top 2500, , 1500, and 500 places on those boards.
Not to throw any shade or anything, but those numbers may not be all that hard to make. Sure, Century: Age of Ashes is cross play on PC and consoles so I don't have full player base counts, but the Steam Charts totals right now make me think your shot at making at least the top 2500 are pretty good.
Two new dragons are making their way to the cash shop, too. There's pictures of them in the patch notes.
The Last Bastion event starts on April 3rd and concludes on April 17th.
