Dota 2 Tops One Million Concurrent Players
MCV noted this morning that Valve's Dota 2 became the first game on Steam to break the one million concurrent players mark over the weekend.
As of this writing, the high point stands at 1,153,407 peak concurrent players over the last 24 hours, with nearly a million -- 947,000 -- currently active. As MCV notes, this is still pretty small when compared to League of Legends, which last boasted of having 7.5 million concurrent players, but even a small fraction of that number is nothing to scoff at.
As a mini-Stat of the Day, if we assume each of those Dota 2 players just played for half an hour, then they spent 65.8 years in the game over the weekend.
So what did you play over the weekend? Did you log some Dota 2 time and contribute to these impressive numbers?
