Dota 2’s New Crownfall Story Event Will Answer Player Lore Questions While Giving Them Rewards
It’s a new way for the devs to tell stories.
If you’ve had any questions about Dota 2 lore – and you probably do – you’re going to be getting answers. In one way, players of the MOBA have already gotten some answers in the form of a comic, but it seems Valve realizes players might actually want game content too, so they’re introducing Crownfall.
Crownfall is a new way for the developers to tell the stories in the Dota universe while offering rewards at the same time. It introduces players to new locations, characters, and secrets in the game, and it isn’t just a one-off thing. Rather, it’s an ongoing story event beginning with The Markets of Midgate.
Because Crownfall is a lot to explain, the dev team has created a special site filled with all the details. There, players can get started by reading the comic we mentioned. The page also gives a brief overview of the rewards available to players. Alternatively, players can just hop into the game and see what’s going on. The event is free, so why not?
