Dofus And Wakfu Developer Ankama Kicks Off Early Access For Multiplayer Strategy RPG Waven
It’s ‘the cozy gamer’s answer to a tactical deck-building RPG’.
Fans of cute and cozy have something new to try out today as Ankama, the team behind Dofus and Wakfu, releases their latest offering on early access. The new game, Waven, is a multiplayer tactical RPG designed with the cozy crowd in mind. Players can now hop into the game via Steam or the Ankama launcher. Mobile players will have to wait until the full release later this year. At that point, it’ll be available on Windows PCs, Macs, iOS, and Android.
When hopping into early access, players will be greeted with a short narrative prologue. Then they’ll be off and adventuring with over 250 quests available to them. These quests will take players through 17 different locations. Players will also have access to 25 heroes, 90 companions, 300 spells, and more.
All that said, there will be content missing during Early Access that will only become available at launch. This actually includes the game’s main quest line, and a feature named island defense. Alongside early access, players have the opportunity to purchase founder’s packs. There are three available. The packs contain premium currency and a selection of cosmetics.
