Does Your Group Have What It Takes? RuneScape Group Ironman Mode Hits Servers Today
Team up with 2-5 friends...because that's about all the help you're going to get here.
Ironman mode in RuneScape has been really well received. Group Ironman mode in Old School RuneScape has also been well received. Naturally, it's now time for RuneScape to add the feature to the MMORPG. If you're feeling froggy, get some friends and group up to see just how far you can take things.
Groups of 2-5 RuneScape members can now hit up the Ironman Group mode and relive some of the more iconic battles in RuneScape's history. To get there, though, you will absolutely HAVE to work together. While there are some very minor exceptions, the main rule to remember here is that anything you want or need needs to be completed or farmed by your group. Sorry, no trading with others outside of your group, no Grand Exchange, no freebie XP, it's all up to your team.
Group Ironman comes in two primary flavors. You can hit up "Regular" mode which runs with most of the rules the individual Ironman mode already uses. In fact, you can take your solo Ironman character and MAKE them a Group Ironman mode character, but you can't go back, so make sure you're committed to the idea. There's also a "Competitive" mode that institutes a few more restrictions that make your group all that more important.
That said, there are some tools to refill group spots should your group decide they don't want to be part of the team anymore. Things happen, we know. Additional new tools also include handy group storage and group management systems.
Group up, open the Journey Achievements board, and get to work. You'll need to if you want to hit the top of those leaderboards. Get started on the official site.
