Doctor Who Comes To EVE Online In First Ever Collaboration Event

Get ready, Capsuleers. The most deadly species in the universe, dedicated to wiping out any life that isn’t their own, is coming to Eve Online. The Daleks invade New Eden on January 13. In case you’re wondering, they earn the title of most deadly because at least the others will convert or slowly feed on other life forms. Daleks, however, aren’t happy unless you no longer exist – if they’re ever happy at all.

Dalek happiness aside, they’re now the problem of every player in Eve Online – and the Whovians CCP hopes will be joining the fight. They promise big battles and lots of explosions...not that those weren’t already a staple of the game.

The Eve Online x Doctor Who event will introduce a “Gallifrey-themed” area of space. There, players can search for artifacts from the Time War. These artifacts will aid in tracking down and battling the Daleks. In exchange for fighting this never-ending menace that refuses to stay dead no matter how many times The Doctor kills them, players will receive special rewards that can be taken back to New Eden. Doctor Who-themed items will also be available as part of a login campaign during the event, which ends on February 1.
