Dive Into Hearthstone's Next Expansion, Voyage To The Sunken City, On April 12
135 new cards, new minion type, and two new keywords; get a free legendary by logging in prior to launch.
Do you feel murloc-ky? If so, then you'll feel right at home in Hearthstone's next expansion, Voyage to the Sunken City, which takes players to the long-lost city of Zin-Azshari, "home to beautiful sights and terrifying danger." Then again, is there any place in Azeroth that isn't a) beautiful and b) dangerous?
The expansion adds 135 new cards to the game, including a new minion type, naga. Nagas are minions that tend to give you a bonus while they're in your hand when you cast a spell.
There are also two new keywords, Colossal and Dredge. The Colossal keyword emulates the leviathan-like dangers of the deep that are "too big to fit on one card." When they come into play, via any method, they come with one or more additional cards. Dredge lets you take one of three cards from the bottom of your deck and place it on the top of your deck. This keyword synergizes well with new Azsharan cards that send cards to the bottom of your deck.
Voyage to the Sunken City launches on April 12. You can pre-purchase two bundles, the 60-pack Standard Bundle for $49.99 or the 80-pack Mega Bundle for $79.99, which also includes the Queen Azshara Mage hero. Each bundle also includes the Azshara card back and other bonuses. Learn more about both bundles, and the expansion as a whole, on the Hearthstone site. Today also brings Patch Update 22.6 to Hearthstone, and you can log in to receive Blademaster Okani for free, prior to the launch of the expansion.
Note: Activision Blizzard is still under investigation by the state of California for serious harassment charges. CEO Bobby Kotick is alleged to have known about such actions within his company – and performed some himself – and shielded the perpetrators from consequences.
