Destroy Your Fellow Bots In The GD Studio's Competitive Shooter Diabotical
We've all played multiplayer FPS games with a robot character or two, but this may be the first time we play one where all the playable characters aren't just robots, but are unreasonably cute little robot dudes. The GD Studio's Diabotical is a fast-pased FPS set in an all-robot world. Players take on the roll of customizable robots know as Eggbots.
The game is designed to appeal to a wide variety of players, featuring easy-to-learn modes as well as more challenging ones for those of us who know what they're doing. Unlike a lot of competitive shooters that launch with three or four modes and an equivalent amount of maps, Diabotical features more than 15 modes and 30 maps. Listed modes include a 1v1 or 2v2 arena mode, a Wipeout mode, MacGuffin, and the 5v5 Wee-Bow Instagib -- which requires players to take out opponents with a crossbow or melee in one hit.
The game also offers players a wide selection of weapons for all occasions, as well as a map editor -- just in case 30 maps aren't enough. Diabotical is free-to-play via the Epic Games Store. Of course, if you want to throw money at the devs, there are a few packs available to purchase as well.
