Destiny 2's Heresy Act II Dev Stream Shows Off Content Paying Homage To A Fan-Favorite OG Destiny Event
It's now called the Court of Blades, but old school Destiny players know what this references.
Ahead of the release of Destiny 2's Heresy Act II content next week on March 11th, the looter-shooter's team took to a stream to show off a bit of what they have planned. The update will obviously advance the current narrative and Narrative Architect Nikko Stevens was on hand to speak to the story content. Stevens speaks a bit on what happened in the past to set up the story headed into Act II. Obviously they stayed away from Act II spoilers, but if you haven't completed Act I yet, there are a few slight spoilers discussed.
Next the team chatted about new weapons, gear, and artifacts, before headed into new content.
That new content comes in two primary forms: the Court of Blades activity and the new Rite of the Nine activity. That first activity is a bit of an homage to the original Destiny's Court of Oryx activity. This version, though, is a bit different. Primarily, it is shorter. Expect them to be about 10 minutes in duration. You won't be tied up very long here. Augmentations from Onslaught will also be in play allowing some diversity and special armaments can be purchased between waves in the arena. Augmentations do stack as you continue to play the activity more and more, and Armaments rotate on a daily basis.
The Bungie Moments of Triumph 2024 shirt is also available for pre-order for anyone that's completed the MMXXIV Title. If you haven't done so yet, you have until May 6th to still qualify.
If you want to see the new activities in actions, check out the full stream below.
