TWID: Destiny 2's Halloween Event, Festival Of The Lost, Returns, But With A Fresh Twist, And Sparrows Get Faster
This year, players can take on Legend Haunted Sectors for some sweet loot.
The Festival of the Lost is back.
Abuelita Eva Levante is at the Tower in Destiny 2 with the new edition of the Book of the Forgotten. Players can collect pages dropped by enemies in Haunted Sectors, gather candy, and earn loot. Additionally, special armor ornament sets are available.
This year's Halloween event introduces Legend Haunted Sectors, a more challenging version of the shooter's event activity. Players can matchmake with others or form premade teams to defeat Headless Ones in these sectors. In exchange, they have a higher chance of earning Exotic Engrams and Festival of the Lost weapons.
Also, Bungie announced that Sparrows are receiving a velocity boost in Season 23 — aiming to make players feel comfortable swapping off the Always on Time (AoT) Sparrow while retaining its unique benefits. Legendary and Exotic Sparrows will have two speed options, and AoT will keep its unique features. Nightfalls offer double rewards this week too, and several weapons are exiting the loot pool. And the Crucible Labs feature Checkmate Rumble.
