Destiny 2: The Final Shape Gameplay Preview Brings The Light And Dark Together Into Prismatic Builds
There's about to be a lot of crazy combos out there, folks.
Today Bungie unleashed a brand new Developer Gameplay Preview video for Destiny 2: The Final Shape upon the world, and there's a lot going on in it. From new enemies to new builds, they seem to be covering a ton of ground in this update.
The new subclass in Destiny 2 will be known as Prismatic, bringing together the light and the dark to create new combo opportunities never before available in the shooter. You'll be getting two new meters to fill up; one for light, and one for dark. Once they are both full, you'll reach Transcendence, which changes up your grenade and grants you special combos based on your class. The devs seem really hyped over the doors the Prismatic subclass is opening up and the types of combos you'll be able to pull off in Destiny 2 once The Final Shape goes live.
New Exotic class items are also on the menu. These new Exotic class items allow you to steal perks from other Exotics and combine two perks together into one Exotic item. This new system is more of the mixing and matching that this expansion seems to be all about. Collect, combine, conquer. That's seems to be the mantra for the new Exotic class items.
There's also a new Witness enemy faction coming to Destiny 2 with The Final Shape, and they are called The Dread. Within the Dread faction comes several new enemy types for you to take on. One of them is a giant bat with a gun, because why not. There are several other enemies in The Dread faction, which they also cover in the Developer Gameplay Preview video below.
Around the 19:15 mark in the in the video, we also get the world premiere of of the launch trailer for Destiny 2: Into the Light, released today.
