As Destiny 2's Heresy update quickly approaches, it's time for the looter-shooter to start talking about dungeons, ability updates, and events coming in the update. That's exactly what the latest "This Week in Destiny" post hits right off the bat.

Heresy drops the new Sundered Doctrine dungeon and that means we're gearing up for another dungeon race. Just like Bungie did for the previous Vesper's Host dungeon, the new dungeon will see fireteams race through a more challenging version of the dungeon. Starting on February 7th, fireteams at 1995 power level (it doesn't matter if you're higher, you're capped) can suit up and try to take down all the bosses. However, last time the race saw recognition for the top 3 fireteams Olympic podium style. This time, it'll be more Highlander style as in there can be only one. That top team will get a specially designed trophy to be revealed later.

The normal version of the dungeon will open up as soon as a race winner is determined. Make sure you follow the very specific rules regarding looting in the post so you don't get disqualified.

Heresy is also bringing quite a few balance and ability changes including new Aspects like "On the Prowl" for Nightstalkers, "Storm's Keep" for Strikers, and "Ionic Sentry" for Stormcallers. I've included videos showing off each of these below if you're curious.

Destiny 2's support of GAME2GIVE 2025 is also looking for help from you players out there. Hit the full post up for all the additional details.
