Destiny 2 Coming To Xbox Game Pass This Fall
Come this fall, Xbox players with the Game Pass subscription will have access to the Destiny 2 standard edition as part of their service. This access includes the game's expansion -- which will roll out over time beginning with Forsaken and Shadowkeep in September. Beyond Light will be made available on November 10.
In preparation for this, Bungie will be releasing a version of the game that is optimized for Xbox Series X, including 4K resolution. Players who already have the game on Xbox One will be able to transfer their game to Xbox Series X for free via Smart Delivery. Those with Game Pass Ultimate will also be able to stream the game on their Android device via XCloud.
A FAQ on how this change will affect players is available on the Bungie site. It covers things like whether or not seasonal content is included as part of the Game Pass -- it's not -- and what will happen to expansions should the game ever leave the Game Pass.
