Despite Its Rocky Official Start, Lost Ark Is Doing Alright, Passing 1.25 Million Steam Players
We’re talking about player count.
Lost Ark didn’t get off to the best start with its official launch yesterday. Once the time came to open the doors to everyone who didn’t pay for a Founder’s Pack, things went a tad awry, resulting in the developers delaying the game’s launch by several hours. Luckily, the game did finally come up on “launch day”, but a lot of players who’d set time aside missed out on using it. On the upside, the devs are compensating players by giving them three days' worth of Crystalline Aura.
Crowded servers and launch delays aside, it seems that things aren’t actually going all that badly for Smilegate’s new MMO. That is, going by what Steam Charts has to say on the subject, at least. Currently, the game boasts 1.1 million concurrent players. Not surprisingly, the numbers jumped late last night after Amazon got everything under control – and probably after some of you got home from work. It did lull early in the morning, although, around 600k super-dedicated players stuck around. Now, it’s back up and looks ready to keep climbing, so, things may have started off rough but things are looking up now (or for the moment anyway).
