Despite Being All Digital, This Year's TennoCon Was A Big Day For Warframe
This past weekend, Digital Extremes held its annual celebration of all things Warfame for the 6th year running. Of course, the event was digital again, as that's still the safest way to go, but that didn't keep it from being a big deal. In fact, an announcement from the developer reveals that the event, which took place on July 17, reached a record high for player engagement across Twitch and in Warframe.
This is partially due to an interactive preview of the game's next round of content, The New War expansion. This included an in-game Relay event that had more players logging in to participate than at any point in the game's history.
As for Twitch viewership, the event took the #1 chart position for the day with more than 540,000 concurrent viewers tuning in to watch the 30 minute live demo of The New War. That made it the most watched Warframe stream ever.
If you missed out on seeing the 30 minute demo and would like to watch it, you'll need to head over to YouTube. Normally, I'd just embed it here to make it easy for you, but it has an age restriction preventing it from playing here.
