Deceive Inc. Unveils "Operation Overhaul" Which Aims To Improve The Game In A Ton Of Ways
Things will be getting even better for players...hopefully.
Today Deceive Inc. unveiled what it is calling "Operation Overhaul". While the features listed here are expected to come in one large patch, the initiative will carry through future updates in the shooter as well.
First up is the combat overhaul which will be making improvements such as reworking weapon animations and feel, improving recoil, improving reliability in melee, reworking Aim Punch to be less disruptive, increasing clarity of damage received feedback, and reworking muzzle flashes and bullet tracers.
The Infiltration phase is getting improvements with more reasons to explore vault areas, while guard behavior is also getting a pass. Pinging specific items will also give your teammates a corresponding icon to let them know what it is you're pinging.
The Silver Reef and Diamond Spire maps are being reworked a bit with more flanking routes. Aim-assist for controllers is getting a rework to help make it more reliable, and a bots mode is being added to give players a smoother intro to the game and a chance to learn.
It sounds like the design team is really putting a lot of effort into improving the game, we'll have to wait and see if players react well to the changes.
