summer_splash_deceive_inc_featSummer fun comes to the heist shooter Deceive Inc. with the kickoff of the Summer Splash event. Tripwire and Sweet Bandits have added 15 levels of rewards progression and you have until August 29th to earn them all. In the free update, the Evenson Twins summer collection is being used to covertly transport new weapons disguised as water guns. It's up to players to stop them and strut their best "top model" walk on catwalks added to every map.

While a new free update is always welcome, the most interesting part of this patch is probably the revamped bot AI. Up until now, bots were kind of a joke. Not only were they kind of dumb, but they didn't really do much in each match. Now they've had their capabilities expanded and they'll take a more active role in each round. Bots can even accomplish objectives, trigger progress, hell, they can even extract the package on their own.

In an effort to combat early camping of the vault, there's a new way to crack that bad boy open that involves using your eyes. Literally. A retinal scanner has been added. Players gather intel that will open the scanners seven minutes later. However, you'll need to locate a VIP to hide inside of as only their eyes can unlock your path.

Be sure to give the patch notes a gander as new rewards, Echelon Ranks, and achievements have been included...including an interesting one that you'll score if you manage to kill a player 10 or more levels above you.
