Deceive Inc. Dev Diary Explores How The Social Stealth And Fast-Paced Action Collides In Spy Shooter
The first of many videos for the upcoming espionage title.
Developer Sweet Bandits Studios and publisher Tripwire Presents have released the first upload of a multi-video series for the upcoming multiplayer spy-vs-spy title, Deceive Inc.. The developer diary sends viewers through the game's social stealth and fast-paced action elements and how they combine for the spy shooter.
The main vibe the creators were going for in the game is a "spy-vs-spy action movie from the '70s," but with a modernized spin with several handy futuristic gadgets to bring the inspiration to present times. In the video, the gameplay was a mix of devious stealth and action at the drop of a hat. Later on, the devs revealed they mirrored the stealth mechanics after hide-and-seek. By following the rules of the children's game, the devs could naturally have players feel giddy and excited when hiding, which turns into high-octane action sequences when finally found out.
Players will engage in high-stakes subterfuge across maps with high verticality like in Diamond Spire or blend in an underwater hotel called Silver Reef. No matter the place, Deceive Inc.'s cat-and-mouse element will keep all players on edge as they race to complete their objectives without getting caught.
The video also highlights Sweet Bandits Studios' origins as a team and their new approach to multiplayer. If you'd like to learn more, check out the video below!
