Deathmatch Is Now Available In Shadow Arena
Pearl Abyss's most recent update for its Black Desert Online-themed battle royale Shadow Arena introduced a new mode to the game this week. Well, a 'new to the game' mode, anyway. It's one most shooter players are familiar with -- Deathmatch.
Shadow Arena's Deathmatch mode allows for a maximum of 10 players -- although a match will kick off when at least 2 players have entered the lobby. All players start with 13 skill points and blue grade gear and will be divided onto the red or blue team depending on order of arrival. Since Deathmatch can kick off before it's full, players can continue to join. However, once a match has been going for 10 minutes (or a team has hit the 20+ point mark) new players will no longer be able to join. Matches last 20 minutes or until a team gets 30 kills, whichever happens first.
In addition to the new mode, a new battle pass has been added for rookie players and the tournament system has been updated. There have also been some changes to heroes.
